It’s been while since I posted about my dreams, then again, its been a while since I had a dream that I remembered so clearly! Anything you suppress in your waking life comes to haunt you in your dreams, so if there is a particular someone who you’d care to not think about, let yourself think about them, at least for a few minutes a day – That way you aren’t avoiding pure emotions that inevitably effect your conscience
After researching this dream on dream moods.com – it made complete sense, so here it is and here is why.
I’m in a car (a mini bus style car) with those revolving doors like a taxi. This particular style of car is in my dream as I was talking to my brother-in-law (in my waking life) about a new car for my sisters family (as it is practically a mini bus)
In my dream we are on the highway or rather the freeway. I was in the back seat with my dad, his brother was driving and his kids were in the back with me. My cousins and I were the age we were when we last saw each other in 2012 – (17, 15, 13) when my dad and I went to visit them in Australia. In my dream I was looking out of the window at a beautiful horizon, it was a a bright blue sky graced with palm trees and a city scape in the distance – more LA than Oz. Suddenly the door slides open and I’m trying to close it.
I have no idea where we are going then all of a sudden its night time, there are loads of bright lights surrounding me. I’m walking down a narrow path, at the end I meet my family in a fairground. Their queuing up for a new haunted house ride/walk through. Which is a yellow tower with bright red steps along the outside. (it looks nothing like an haunted house) All of a sudden they are gone (into the house) and I follow them up some huge metal stairs, strangers are blocking my way and it seems to take a while to get to the top. When I do I’m greated by an old man who asks for a token. I’m pretty sure this man is Burt Cooper from mad men (as I’ve been binging it as of late) I start to panic and I feel lost. I’m suddenly in what looks like a storage room fulll of random stuff that is popping out of badly constructed shelving units on the wall. I look at Burt and I say:
‘where is my family? I’m looking for them, they were here.’ I ask where the end of the house is so I can get out as quick as possible ad I have a sudden feeling of claustrophobia. He replies in a somewhat mixed American southern accent ‘well your gonna have to carry on a through, you, cernt turna back now gurl’ then a younger man approaches me and says, ‘It brings you out on maine street near mcdonalds, about a 40 minute walk from here. ‘ would it be quicker to go back down the stairs and find them outside’ I ask.
‘you can’t turn back.’ I turn around to see the path I was walking on is now an old janitor style cupboard with a rusty toilet in it. I go to the bathroom
Then I wake up as I need the toilet.

It all makes sense, I have huge aspirations and goals. I often think of how happy I was in my childhood/teen years as since University and graduation I have become depressed. I miss my dad and his side of the family, I was once very close to him and over the years we lost touch. We had a huge argument last summer and I haven’t spoken to him since. It’s a shame. To grieve for someone that is alive is one of the worst pains of all. I know that he must dream of me. Everyone is haunted in their dreams, we cannot escape what we cannot forget.
